Successful business mission: Getinge team's productive visit to Uganda

In a development for international business relations, a team from South Africa, comprising Raziye Cavusoglu (Key Account Manager, Eastern Africa), Barnardo Zondagh (Product specialist, SWIC), Linda Veale (Product Specialist – CA & CC), Amine El Hardouz (Key Account Manager, FSA) and Antoinette Roux (Product Specialist, CP, CS & Vascular, ESA), undertook a successful business mission to Uganda from October 2nd to October 6th, 2023.Getinge teams productive visit to Uganda

The primary focus of the visit was to present and discuss the comprehensive portfolio of medical solutions offered by Getinge, covering critical areas such as CA, CP, Ventilation, Anaesthesia, and the SWIC Portfolio.

Throughout the visit, the team engaged in a series of highly productive meetings, showcasing the diverse range of products within the Getinge portfolio. The presentations spanned across key medical domains, emphasizing the company's commitment to providing cutting-edge solutions to the healthcare sector.

A significant highlight was the high-level meeting held on October 5th with the Ministry of Health in Uganda. The team had the privilege of meeting with the Deputy Minister of Health and the Full Board of the Uganda Heart Institute. Discussions during this meeting revolved around strategic partnerships and collaborations for future business endeavors in the region. 
During these three days, team visited Nakasero Hospital, Mulago Hospital, ELSMED, Case Hospital and Boraro University Hospital. These interactions allowed Getinge’s team to gain valuable insights into the specific needs and challenges faced by healthcare providers in Uganda.

The visit of the Getinge team to Uganda, marks a significant milestone in fostering international collaborations within the healthcare sector. The exchange of ideas, presentation of innovative solutions and high-level engagements with key decision-makers have laid the groundwork for future partnerships. As the South African team returns home, the positive outcomes of this mission are expected to resonate in the form of enhanced healthcare capabilities and improved patient outcomes in Uganda.
