Getinge is one of the official partners representing Sweden in the world exhibition Expo 2020 taking place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. ”We look forward to participate in this major event, providing the visitors with an image of Sweden as well as Getinge as forces to reckon with when it comes to sustainability and innovations”, says Salah Malek, President Middle East & Africa at Getinge.
Expo 2020, themed "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future", is taking place from October 20, 2020 until April 10, 2021 and is the first ever World Expo to be hosted in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. The organizers expects 190 countries to participate and that the expo will have around 25 million visitors.
“The Middle East and Africa is an important region for Getinge, and by participating in the Expo 2020 we can showcase our innovative products and solutions within the health care business”, says Salah Malek. The Swedish Pavilion is called “The Forest” and will be located in the Sustainability part of Expo 2020 grounds covering a space of approximately 2,700 square meters. Focusing on the theme "Co-creation for Innovation", the pavilion is a fusion of Nordic nature and Islamic geometric design, bringing the two cultures together.
