On the 28th of January 2024, Getinge, a leading global provider of innovative medical technology, hosted its highly anticipated MEA (Middle East and Africa) Annual Distributor Meeting at the prestigious Address Dubai Mall. This event, attended by over 200 people representing more than 25 countries across the region, was a testament to the company's commitment to collaboration, excellence, and celebrating the achievements of its valued partners.

Dubai, a global hub for innovation and technological advancements, hosted the 6th GCC eHealth Workforce Development Conference from October 31^st to November 2^nd, 2023. Organized by the GCC Taskforce on Workforce Development in Digital Healthcare (ZIMAM), a non-profit initiative dedicated to building sustainable digital health ecosystems, the conference aimed to foster collaboration among key stakeholders for the development of a future-ready workforce.

In the spirit of fostering a culture of integrity, Getinge celebrated External Compliance Week at the end of September. This initiative aimed to reinforce our commitment to ethical business practices, social responsibility and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Through a series of communications with our Business Partners, we emphasized the significance of upholding high ethical and environmental standards in the pursuit of sustained success.

A significant milestone was achieved through recent Endoscopic Vessel Harvesting (EVH) training program at King Fahad Medical City (KFMC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia run by Getinge. This initiative has not only fortified our capabilities in cardiovascular care but has also paved the way for the establishment of new EVH users at Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi. This collaboration marks a significant step in expanding the reach of cutting-edge EVH surgery across borders.

In a development for international business relations, a team from South Africa, comprising Raziye Cavusoglu (Key Account Manager, Eastern Africa), Barnardo Zondagh (Product specialist, SWIC), Linda Veale (Product Specialist – CA & CC), Amine El Hardouz (Key Account Manager, FSA) and Antoinette Roux (Product Specialist, CP, CS & Vascular, ESA), undertook a successful business mission to Uganda from October 2^nd to October 6^th, 2023.
